What are dental implants?

Full-arch, or more commonly known as All-on-4 or full mouth implants, are a permanent way to replace missing or failing teeth. A small implant post is placed in your jawbone to act as a new tooth root. Once it heals and bonds with the bone, a custom-made tooth, or a full set of teeth, is secured on top. Because implants are anchored in the jaw, they stay put. They don’t slip or click like dentures, and they let you eat, speak, and smile comfortably. They also help keep your jawbone strong, since they replace the root as well as the tooth. At Vista Dental Implants, Dr. Saleh places every implant himself, and your teeth are crafted in our own on-site lab. Who is a candidate for full mouth dental implants?

You're a candidate for full mouth dental implants if you're missing multiple teeth, dealing with failing or broken teeth that can't be saved, or tired of dentures that slip, click, or hold you back from eating what you love. If tooth loss has you covering your smile, avoiding certain foods, or just ready for a permanent fix instead of another patch job, implants could be the solution built for you.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Is the procedure painful?

Depending on what implant procedure a patient is receiving, it may be performed under I.V. Sedation or a combination of local anesthesia and moderate I.V. Sedation. Additionally, our doctor will prescribe medications to make the healing process more tolerable. These medications are to be taken as needed. Many patients are fine with a combination of Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost varies depending on the number of implants and any additional surgical enhancements needed. At Vista Dental, a single full arch starts at $13,995, not including extractions or bone grafts, and we work with an amazing array of financing partners to make treatment possible for you.

How long does the dental implant process take?

The full process, including healing time, typically takes several months — though every smile is different, and Dr. Saleh will walk you through a timeline built around your individual treatment plan.

Smoking: You’ll be asked to quit smoking before surgery. Implants are far more likely to fail otherwise, and we want to protect your results.

Vista Dental Implants’ 5-year warranty covers the replacement of the zirconia arch, implant fixtures, and abutments due to material defects or premature wear under normal use. The guarantee begins on the date of final prosthesis placement and applies to patients who maintain their recall visits with Vista Dental Implants. It does not cover damage resulting from trauma, accident, neglect (including smoking or tobacco use), failure to follow post-treatment care instructions, or use of the prosthesis in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose. The guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original patient of record.

Many people are told implants aren’t possible because the bone in their upper jaw has worn away. Zygomatic implants are one of the few solutions for that situation.

What they are. Longer implants that anchor into your cheekbone (the zygoma), one of the strongest bones in your face, instead of the thinner upper jawbone.

Where is Vista Dental Implants located?

We’re at 500 SE 192nd Ave, Suite 300, in Vancouver, WA 98683, serving patients from Vancouver, Portland and the surrounding area. Many of our full mouth implant patients drive in from Oregon. Dr. Saleh performs your surgery and follow-ups at our Vancouver office.

Do I leave with teeth the same day?

Yes. You leave with custom 3D-printed teeth, matched to your planned final design, so you’re never without teeth while you heal. Your permanent zirconia arch follows after healing, once you’re happy with your prototype teeth.

How long until I have my final teeth?

Final teeth take several months, typically about 3–6, while your implants fuse with the jawbone. Dr. Saleh gives you a personal timeline at your consult. During that time you wear your custom prototype teeth, and you can try in as many revisions as you need until your smile fits, feels and looks best to you. Then we mill your final arch in our own lab.

Will it hurt?

All-on-4 means a full arch of teeth supported by four implants. All-on-X is the same idea when your arch needs more support. Depending on your bone and anatomy, Dr. Saleh may recommend up to six implants per arch. He confirms the right number for you after reviewing your 3D CT scan.

I was told I don’t have enough bone. Can I still get implants?

Possibly. Zygomatic implants anchor into your cheekbone instead of the upper jaw, which can work when jawbone is limited. Dr. Saleh will tell you honestly what’s possible after reviewing your 3D CT scan.

What does the 5-year warranty cover?

Our warranty covers replacement of your zirconia arch, implant fixtures and abutments due to material defects or premature wear under normal use. It starts the day your final teeth are placed and applies when you keep your recall visits with Vista Dental Implants. Do I have to quit smoking?

Yes. You’ll be asked to quit smoking before surgery. Smoking sharply raises the risk of implant failure, and we want to protect your results. Tobacco use is also treated as neglect under the warranty. If quitting feels hard, tell us at your consult and we’ll help you make a plan.

Is financing available?

Yes. We work with CareCredit, Cherry, LendingClub and Proceed Finance, independent lenders that offer monthly payment options. Approval, rates and terms are set by each lender. What if my credit isn’t perfect?

You still have options. Lenders offer different programs, and some patients choose a co-signer or a combination of financing and payment from savings. Approval is decided by the lender, and we’ll go over what’s realistic for you at your consult, with no judgment and no pressure.
